Harshitha’s work first found its way to Koodam not through a submission, but as a gift. Her cousin, who headed our interiors and civil execution, brought us an ethereal image of the Buddha that aligned seamlessly with the aesthetic we were building. The piece evoked calm and so much warmth.
What truly astonished us was discovering that the artist was in the 9th grade!
In many ways, Harshitha became one of the reasons we began the quarterly artist spotlight at Koodam. We believe the world needs more beauty. And her art is, quite simply, a thing of beauty.

At Koodam, we are glad to feature her work as part of this cycle.
Tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired you to take up this art practice.
I took up art mainly during the lockdown COVID 19. I started with small drawings and reached till this stage mainly because of my love and interest in art. I am currently in the 9th grade and enjoy doing art as a way to relax.
What are you most proud of in your practice so far?
That I don't give up art and will just trust the process till I get the result I was hoping for.
What do you hope someone feels or thinks after encountering your work?
I hope they feel connected and inspired by my artwork
What inspires you to keep making more art?
The pleasure that my artworks gives me is tremendous...And the flow of state i reach when I do it is not explainable in just words.
